A single-story one-family house in Berlin is extented in order to create new space for two children's bedrooms, one parent's bedroom and a working space.

The facade of the ground level is kept in its original condition where possible. 

The old roof, used as a storage place, has to be removed; the new roof is rotated by 90° in order to create a main facade direction street. 

The plastering facade of the ground level is combined with a wooden facade of the new constructed part.
