The initial point for designing and building the grill was set by a concrete slab that we found lying on the lawn on the campus of the Potsdam School of Architecture. Its position has been another crucial point, as it was situated between the buildings of the faculty of architecture and civil engineering. About 3m long and about 30cm thick it was impossible to move without any vehicle so that it was stuck there since several years.

As a group of students from both the faculty of architecture and the faculty of civil engineering, we decided to initiate this project.

By this project we connected the faculties in two ways:

by the action itself and by creating a meeting point between the buildings.
